HOUSING PRICEs - SALE PRICE TIERS
Since 2000, housing prices across the largest metropolitan areas grew or declined at different rates. An interesting comparison is by sale price tier. The S&P Case Shiller HPI price tiers are graphed below for the large metropolitan markets. Dark green line represents the Low Price Tier (lowest third of sale prices). The Blue line represents the Mid Price Tier (middle third of sale prices). Red line represents the High Price Tier (highest third of sale prices).
